1 - All day entertainment service

Music turns a special occasion into a spectacular one

Looking for a managed music service to set the mood for your entire day? Since I’ve begun offering the option of a managed music service, it has quickly become one of my most popular additional services. It is especially popular at venues that offer civil ceremonies as well as the wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Wedding ceremony

It’s becoming increasingly popular during civil ceremonies to include background music that replicates the format of a church service (with a Prelude, Processional and Recessional). Music to cover the signing of the register is also often required.

As part of my Party Host service to you, I will happily and ably assist with the proceedings during the ceremony to make sure everything runs smoothly and to time. I have vast experience of using music to enhance the poignancy of this important part of the wedding day.

Unless you have a professional taking care of music duties, they will more than likely be deferred to somebody who is not only unqualified for the task but also too busy with their own job to dedicate the proper care and attention to it. Many venues will, for example, pass the job onto the banquet manager, or even one of the waiters. The result is that the music for the Processional will generally be played from the beginning of the track, as opposed to from the point that the client themselves would have selected; the client’s favourite part of the song won’t necessarily be the opening fifteen seconds – in fact, it rarely is.

Even worse, once the bride has reached the groom, the music will often drop out suddenly and awkwardly, as the unwary person in charge hits the stop button instead of fading out. I saw this happen many times before I started to offer this; not just during the Processional but also during the signing of the register and for the Recessional. When this music is faded subtly in and out by somebody who has taken great care to understand its place within the ceremony, the difference can be stunning.

Technical services I offer during the ceremony

Other parts of your day

Music can enhance many parts of your day, from entering into the reception room for the first time as Mr and Mrs through to cutting your cake, dancing your first dance, and (obviously) enjoying your wedding disco.

Get in touch for a consultation and advice on what works well – I have wide ranging experience and will individually tailor your day to what you want.

2 - Disco DJ

Looking for a dj for your disco?

The disco is, of course, the central focus of my work and my experience in this area is second-to-none. First and foremost, I understand that your wedding day is all about you. You want your guests to remember how much fun they had; you want your party to be different from all others; you want your event to be considered ‘The wedding of the year’.

Fortunately, in considering me, you’ve most definitely come to the right place. I’ve done an extensive amount of events, and my experience of performing at a wide range of events and venues all over the world is hard to match. I have a huge music collection, coupled with an extensive knowledge of different musical styles.

I’m also very aware that a wedding DJ on an ego trip can be a terrible distraction at a wedding. The event is, after all, purely about you; what you need is somebody who can create a good atmosphere by playing the appropriate music at just the right time, who knows which requests will make people dance – and which ones will make them leave the dance floor! You need a DJ who can gauge the ideal volume level to ensure that grandma isn’t deafened and people can still comfortably chat with each other, whilst at the same time not putting off the youngsters.

You also want somebody who can react to whatever may be happening on the dancefloor, regardless of what type of music the guests are into – not a wedding mobile disco who have a programmed setlist, identical for every wedding, and has decided exactly what he’s going to play before he even leaves the house.

You want a DJ who can mix musical styles without killing the atmosphere; a DJ who can skilfully weave in your guests’ requests without interrupting the flow of the music; a DJ whose musical knowledge spans the generations.

I can provide you with all these things and more. My biggest strength – tried and tested all over the world – is my ability to read a crowd. Wherever I am, whatever the event, I can almost always fill the dancefloor. Creating a Music Request list and sending via email is quick and easy.

4 - Venue Uplighting

Also known as ambient lighting and architectural lighting, uplighting is a unique way to change the atmosphere in the room your wedding is held in. Virtually any colour can be selected to match the decor of the room – for example, the bride might choose a colour that matches her flowers or bridesmaids dresses, such as a certain shade of pink or purple.
